25-30’ Tall and 15-20’ Wide. Gets it’s common name from the umbrella-like whorls of needles that grow at the ends of the branches. It is a very slow growing evergreen. Dense, narrow, pyramidal habit in youth. Likes moist, rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soils in full sun. Should be protected from winter winds.
