Ruby Hydrangea (Smooth)
4’, Large green leaves on upright by very strong stems, helping these shrubs keep a nice mounded form. Red, burgundy and pink blooms in summer, tolerates shade – Native. Pruning can consist of selectively removing weak, crossing and dead stems. They also can be pruned to the ground each dormant season, but over time they will start developing weaker stems and will need to be staked.
