5-10’ Tall and Wide. Native. Large shrub with pinnate green leaves. Fragrant, white flowers in spring followed by clusters of large, dark, purple to black berries in late summer to fall. Can be harvested for making elderberry wine, jam and immune-boosting syrup. Likes sun to part-sun, moist soil. Plant another variety such as York to ensure good production of berries.
