APPLE TREES
Cortland – Zone 4
An excellent eating or pie apple. Ripens later and keeps longer than McIntosh. Blooms mid-season. Partially self-pollinating but a nearby pollination partner of a different variety such as Granny Smith is beneficial. Some white flowering crabapples will also pollinate this variety. Cortland serves as a pollinator for other apple varieties that bloom earlier, mid-season, and later.
